The Dior exhibition was one of the most amazing exhibitions I have ever been to. We had a guided tour and Dior was & still is one of the most influential people in the fashion industry today.

In the beginning of the show, it explained the early life of Dior. They showed some of of his very first designs which included a dress he designed for Princess Margaret's 21st birthday. Then, the show explained the five different creative designers after Dior passed away from a heart attack. First was Yves Saint Laurent. He was the creative director for Dior at the age of 19. He was only the creative director for three years. Marc Bohan then replaces Yves and was the creative director for almost 30 years. Gianfranco takes over Dior in 1989. John Galliano was then given the role of creative director in 1997. He was at Dior until 2012 when Raf Simmons took over the role. From there, the first female creative director for Dior was assigned in 2016. Maria Grazia Chiuri replaced Raf Simmons and is still the creative director of Dior today.

The exhibition featured many, many dresses from Dior. It showed dresses from different countries, for different people and events. One collection of dresses are inspired by Dior's favorite flower, the rose, that are made from fine fabrics with intricate fabrics.

Attending the Dior exhibition was truly inspiring. It was amazing to see how each creative director had its own style but tried to keep the vision of Dior's original designs alive throughout the years. Being able to see this once in a lifetime exhibition will be something I will remember forever. I am so grateful to have the opportunity to see the most famous designs from the amazing Dior.

Pictured below are some of my favorite pictures of the exhibition.
